Warren at Carnegie Hall, New York Weill
Recital Hall Thursday April 24th 2008 at 8pm
|
|
This concert was something of a milestone in the
diary and the occasion was a memorable one!
The
event was made possible through the enormous help of
Craig and Kate Walmsley and Lizelle and Selwyn
Nakan.
On the day before the concert, New York's Steinway
Hall on 57th Ave. provided 11 hours of practise facilities
and further warm-up time on the day
itself.
The concert received a most enthusiastic
response from a great-sized audience, which included Robert Bowen - the great
nephew of the composer York
Bowen, whose wonderful sonata in Bb minor was given its
inaugral performance at Carnegie Hall on this occasion and
some 50 years after it was first written.
Robert had flown from the UK to be there.
Also present were many friends and family who
had travelled from the UK and various parts of the States to
support.
Here are some shots from the day of the
concert!
"Calm and composed..!"
